Peggy E. Young

YORK – Peggy Elaine (Snyder) Young, 89, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 to be with her heavenly Father and her loving husband Norris R. Young to whom she was married 38 years and who passed away March 15, 2017.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 30, 2023 at Windsor Assembly of God, 21 N. Penn Street, Windsor with Pastor Christopher Golembiowski officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Peggy was born December 20, 1933 in Dallastown to the late Harry E. and Effie S. (Houser) Snyder and graduated from Dallastown Area High School in 1951. She worked as a sewing machine operator for 35 years in different sewing factories. Mrs. Young was a member of the Windsor Assembly of God church for many years. She loved sewing, crocheting, and playing the piano and organ at her church.

Peggy had two daughters, Pamela delValle VanZanardi and husband Dean of Dover and Kandi Snyder Stetler and husband Daryl of Wellsville; a step-son, Jonathan Young and wife Leilani of Georgia; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Snyder; and her sister, Patty Gladfelter.
