Peggy E. Sterner

YORK- Peggy E. Sterner, 72, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Pastor Brian Percy officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery. Miss Sterner was born on February 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Floyd and Cordie (Williams) Sterner. Miss Sterner was a member of the Red Lion Bible Church. She enjoyed shopping and collecting Elvis memorabilia. Miss Sterner is survived by two brothers, Kemp Sterner and his wife, Eva of York and Gene Sterner of York; close niece, Mary Heiland; and other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was four sisters, Kathleen Kinard, Tiny Kopp, Audrey Hartless, and a twin sister, Patsy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret E.
