Peggy Ann Snyder

YORK- Peggy Ann (Zarfos) Snyder, 78, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George Wilson “Butch” Snyder. Peggy was born February 10, 1942 in Jacobus and was the daughter of Ben and Naomi (Crawford) Zarfos. She was a graduate of Red Lion High School, class of 1960. She is survived by her sister Jane Courtade, brother-in-law Gary Courtade, sister-in-law Vonetta Grove (Bonnie), a daughter Jill and her husband Rick Anders, a son Matthew Snyder, a granddaughter Rubylynn Snyder, 3 nephews Jeffrey Grove, Steven Grove and Michael Courtade, 1 niece Melissa Dietz, 5 grandnephews, 2 grandnieces, and 3 great grandnieces. Peggy devoted her life to her children, leaving her position at Gable Barber Supply. Later, she held a position at Equifax Services and retired from Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Exchange (PADE). Peggy loved to spend time with family, especially her granddaughter, Rubylynn. Peggy and her husband gathered often with friends from their graduating class and spent many summers in Delaware with family and friends in the Port Delmarva Community. She was a 55-year member at Yorkshire United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Ave, York. Officiating the service will be Pastor Megan Krusemark. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
