DOVER- Peggy A. (Richards) Staub, AKA Cherokee, 46, died on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of John A. Staub. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 03, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Wayne Slothour officiating. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Born on November 22, 1966 in York, she was a daughter of the late John and Donna (Kroft) Richards. Peggy was a tattoo artist and piercer for Flesh Expressions in Dover. She later worked as a material handler for American Signature, Inc. Peg was a very kind hearted loving person. While being a great listener, she could also be very opinionated. Behind her strong willed spirit stood her never back down attitude. She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast that enjoyed horseback riding, photography and being in nature. Peggy was a member of United Remnant Band of Cherokee Nation and Eastern Overhill Band of Cherokee. She volunteered with the County Of York as a Child Advocate with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Peg was a long time member of Mason-Dixon Chapter of ABATE of Pa motorcycle rights organization, and Harley Owners Group HOG. Along with her husband, John, Peggy is survived by one son, Steven Kline of Manchester; two daughters, Regina Staub of West York and Macy Staub of Green Lane, PA; two grandchildren, Emily Jamison and Braelynn Eshelman; one brother, William Richards of Dover; one sister, Patty Brown of West Virginia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian Steps Museum, 205 Indian Steps Rd Airville, Pa 17302 or the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York PA 17403.
