York—Pearl J. (Keesey) Dinkle, 96, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services-Kingston Court. She was the wife of the late George Dinkle. A graveside tribute service will be held 1 p.m.,Monday, March 30, 2009 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with her pastor, the Rev. Patrick J. Rooney of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in York, officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the Mt. Rose Ave., entrance of the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dinkle was born February 24, 1913 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Conrad B. and Anna (Swenk) Keesey. She was employed as a waitress at the Country Club of York of several years and later worked as a cashier for Suburban Elementary School. A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in York, she also loved going on trips with friends, collected dolls and loved crocheting. Mrs. Dinkle is survived by a daughter, Ethel J. Hoin of Lancaster, one grandson, Craig Hoin of Lancaster and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and two nieces, Ida Mae Lefever, who leaves her husband, Ralph and Susan Shank, who leaves her husband, Rodney. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc., Memorial and Honor Program, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
