Pauline Reye Forbes

DOVER- Believe, Faith, Love, Trust and Remember. On Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 5:49 p.m., Pauline Reye (Edwards) Forbes, 43, passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms at the home of her best friend Jennifer as her caretaker along with her two daughters, Katie Forbes-Kopp & Emily Forbes, her sister-in-law, Jayne Forbes and Heartland Hospice of York. She endured a long three year fight with breast cancer/mets. She was beautiful inside and out and loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Services for Ms. Forbes were held private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. The family will be having an end of life celebration in September at an outdoor location, as Pauline had requested. The specific date, time and location will be posted on Facebook and everyone may attend. Born on December 20, 1971 in Rocky Ford, CO, she was a daughter of Irma Licano and the late Kenneth Edwards. Pauline was a private caretaker for Rick and Joan Rill for 18 years and Deanie Taylor King Personalized Home Care for five years. Ms. Forbes attended Harvest Chapel Church in Abbottstown. Pauline loved and enjoyed music, wine, cooking, travels to the beach, gardening, social gatherings with family and friends, shopping, restaurants, countless conversations and being outdoors spoiling her little Pomeranian dog Eddie. Ms. Forbes is survived by three daughters, Megan Forbes of East Berlin, Katie Kopp (Corey) of Dallastown and Emily Forbes of New Oxford; four grandsons, Trey Sullivan, Liam Warner, Ace Kopp and Brody Kopp; two sisters, Karin Edwards of Shrewsbury and Roberta Munsell of Glen Rock; two brothers, Glen Reib and Daniel Reib; her close friend of 34 years Jennifer Parsons-Galligani of Dover; and Jennifer’s children, Jordan, Christopher, Gemma and Giada. Fernando Ortega- “How deep the Father’s love” How Deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure that He should give His only son and make a wretch his treasure. How great the pain of searing loss the Father turns His face away as wounds which mar the chosen one bring many sons to glory. Behold the man upon His cross, my sin upon His shoulders ashamed I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there until it was accomplished. His dying breath has brought me life. I know that it is finished. I will not boast in anything. No gifts, no power, no wisdom but I will boast in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom. In Pauline’s honor, the family would like to extend a special thank you to these individuals that gave extra love and support to Pauline and her caretakers during her journey these last few weeks of life, providing meals, groceries, babysitting, wine, conversation, emotional support, hugs, cards and flowers.
