Mrs. Markel is survived by a daughter, Barbara Lenhart and her significant other, James King; a granddaughter, Kimberly Sowers; two great-grandchildren, Cassidy Alexis Sowers and Chase Evans Sowers, and a large number of nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bruce P. Lenhart; three brothers, Eugene Thomas Graham, Benjamin Franklin Graham, Jr., and James Forest Graham, and four sisters, Marie Abel, Virginia Markel, Julia Grim, and Ora Romaine Wessner. To honor the memory of Pauline’s giving spirit, the family request memorial contributions be made to either St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
