DALLASTOWN- Pauline M. (Heininger) Lewis, 76, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Sidney R. Lewis to whom she was married 55 years. A celebration of life service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Dr. John A. Harrington officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 27, 1934 in Red Lion, a daughter of the late John Heininger and Dorothy (Gromling) Vanover, she was a graduate of William Penn High School. She was a former employee of Dallastown Nursing Center for 29 years until her retirement. After her retirement she spent her remaining days in the company of her loving husband, never leaving his side. She was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church in Loganville. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed painting ceramics, search word puzzles, crocheting, cooking, and baking. She also took great pleasure in being an Elk-aholic at the family camp in Cameron County and visiting relatives in West Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Sidney, Mrs. Lewis is survived by a son, Dennis R. Lewis and wife, Diane of Yoe; a daughter, Debra S. Harrington and husband, Steven of Airville; three grandchildren, Alexa Burns and husband, Joseph of Airville, Jared Lewis of Yoe, and Jedediah Lewis and wife, April of Dallastown; a great grandson, Landon Burns of Airville; a brother, John Heininger, Jr. of Red Lion; a sister, Karen Ludwig of Red Lion; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Lewis. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 912 S. George Street, York, PA, 17403.
