Pauline L. (Rockwell) Porter

TROY- Pauline L. (Rockwell) Porter, 85, West Burlington, PA passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Harry M. Porter who passed away on November 30 1991. The couple married and had 44 happy years together. The graveside service to honor Pauline’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Hilton Cemetery, along Route 6 in East Troy. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with arrangements. Pauline was born on December 28, 1926 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Willis and Cecile (Herda) Rockwell. She retired from the Bradford County Manor where she worked in the kitchen. Pauline was an over 60-year member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Rebekas, and Union Grange. For many years Pauline was a Judge of Elections for West Burlington Township. She enjoyed the beach, hot weather, camping with the French Chopper Campers, and spending time with her family. Pauline is survived by her son Dale Porter of Towanda, PA, her granddaughters: Carrie (Joel) Zdon of Ulster, PA, and Corinne (Chris) McConnell of Woodbridge, VA, her great grandchildren: Alexander and Anthony Zdon, Matthew Porter, and Jackson Nichols, along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, and her siblings: Beatrice, Lewis, Harold, Hazel, Richard, Earl, and Jean.
