DOVER – Pauline L. (Smith) Jamison, 95, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Jamison. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Ron Oelrich officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Born July 5, 1926 in York, a daughter of the late John E. and Martha I. (Zeigler) Smith, she was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mrs. Jamison had been a longtime secretary and bookkeeper at Faith United Church of Christ, where she also holds the distinction of being Faith UCC’s first secretary. In addition to working at Faith UCC, Pauline was an active member since 1946 who sang in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, feeding and watching birds, completing jigsaw puzzles, reading, camping and gardening. Mrs. Jamison is survived by a son, Jeff and wife Jackie Jamison of York; a daughter, Pam and husband Tom Elicker of Dover; three grandchildren, Shannon Jamison, Josh and Justin Elicker; two great grandchildren, Chaya and Jack Elicker; three sisters, Miriam Mentz, Anna Catherine Guise and Linda Silar. Pauline was blessed to have a wonderful caregiver, Karen from Home Instead Senior Care. She was preceded in death by three sisters, M. Romaine Guise, Verna Zeltwanger and Jeanette Emig.
