Red Lion—Pauline Elizabeth (Lowe) Matulin, 83, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles Matulin, a retired Army Veteran, to whom she was married for 52 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born April 17, 1932 in Union, W. Va., she was a daughter of late Isaac and Mindy (Booth) Lowe. She traveled extensively with her husband while he was in the military, but returned home to York County where she lived for 73 years. Pauline dedicated her life to raising her grandchildren, especially in their formidable years. She loved life, her gardens and her pets, Paddy the cat and her fish, Freddy. She loved Jesus, who she now resides in his loving care. Mrs. Matulin was the mother of six children, Steve, Matulin, Theresa (Shirey-Frey) Matulin, De-Anna Matulin, Mark Matulin, Timothy Matulin and youngest daughter, Rebecca Matulin-Warner. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Christy (Shirey) Allen and her husband, Travis, Josh Shirey, Jessica Warner, Annie Warner, Tanner Warner, Amber Matulin, Rachel Matulin and Nathaniel Benjamin “Ben” Matulin; four great grandchildren, Lennon Shirey (son of Josh), Charlotte Allen (daughter to Christy and Travis), Devin and Aiden (Sons to Jessica); an older brother, Eugene “Gene” Lowe and a younger sister, Betty E. Hoffman and nieces, Robin and Trudy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd, Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
