Pauline E. (Foose) Zarfoss

York—Pauline E. (Foose) Zarfoss, 99, passed away, Sunday, March 21 at Rest Haven Nursing Home on South George Street. She was the wife of the late William S. Zarfoss, to whom she was married for 60 years. Born March 4, 1911 in York, she was the daughter of the late, Earl M. and Grace A. (Foust) Foose. Pauline is survived by her son, Robert W. Zarfoss and her daughter in law, Patricia Zarfoss, three grandchildren, Holly Gumke and husband Dale, Lauren Lloyd and husband Hal, and Adam Zarfoss and wife Jan, as well as a foster granddaughter Denise Coy, two step grandchildren, Bryan Frey and Bradley Frey and great grandchildren include Nathan and Christopher Gumke, Erika Zarfoss, Nichole Coy, and Rebecca and Danielle Frey. Pauline was devoted to her family and her pets, and was most happy when she was cooking for her family. A graveside service will be held private at the convenience of the family.
