YORK - Paul W. Seideneck, 82, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Manor Care - Kingston Court. He was the husband of the late Mary (Reilly) Seideneck. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with The Rev. Fr. Joseph Tuscan, OFM, Cap. officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Full Military Rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born December 8, 1925 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Carl W. and Mary C. (Vollmer) Seideneck, he retired in 1985 from Teledyne McKay, Inc. after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, Mr. Seideneck worked and volunteered with White Rose Senior Center. In 1996 he was nominated for the Jefferson Award for Excellence in Public Service Benefiting Local Communities. He also enjoyed following Pittsburgh Steelers Football and doing crossword puzzles in his spare time. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Seideneck is survived by five sons; Paul W. Seideneck, Jr. and wife, Alice of Etters, Patrick J. and Michael J. Seideneck both of York, Mark F. Seideneck of Dallastown, and Daniel R. and wife Melissa Seideneck of York; five daughters, Mary B. and husband Tom Moesch, Judy M. and husband Mike Miller, Ann T. and husband Jeff Minnich, Bridget T. and husband Mike Mann all of York, and Barbara E. Wilt of Lemoyne; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Seideneck; a brother, Carl Seideneck; and a sister, LaVera Seideneck. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Inc., 710 W. 168th St., New York, NY 10032.
