Troy, PA Paul R. Sims, Age 91 formally of Fallbrook Road , Troy , PA passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Phil Carlo Retirement Home, Gillett , PA. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 W. Main Street, Troy , PA. Paul's funeral and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 PM with Reverend Jasper Smith officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Case Cemetery . Just celebrating his 91st birthday Paul was born March 16, 1917 in Williamsport , PA son of the late William R. and Anna Keppler Sims. He was married to the late Elorena Saxton. Paul dedicated his life to farming he operated a dairy farm and later was a truck gardener selling his home grown vegetables at his stand. He was a 30 plus year member of the Board of Directors of Farm Credit, member of the Dairymen's League, Troy Grange, Troy United Methodist Church and member and past president of the Troy 4X4 racing team. Paul loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren who he adored. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Steve Petris of Gillett, PA, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cheryl Sims of Trinity, NC., grandchildren, Josh Petris of Gillett, PA, Mindy and Kevin Andreyo of Reading, PA, Bill Sims and Donna Beggs of Harrisburg, PA, great grandchildren, Luke and Helen Andreyo of Reading, PA, fianc裬 Laura Beals of Roseville, PA, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Louise Sartell, Doris Saxton, Arthur Saxton and Earl and Janice Saxton, numerous nieces and nephews.
