YORK- Paul R. Miller, 87, died on Monday, January 14, 2013 at WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Urey) Miller, to whom he was married to for over 53 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Gene Edwards officiating. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Trinity (Roth’s) U.C.C. Cemetery with a flag folding ceremony provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on April 8, 1925 in Thomasville, he was a son of the late Paul M. and Mary E. (Wilt) Miller. Paul graduated from Temple University and worked as an Accountant for Sandvik, Inc. He also was employed by Jackson Twp., where he performed numerous jobs. Mr. Miller was a member of Paradise (Holtzschwamm) Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing baseball, golfing and hunting. Mr. Miller served our country in the United States Navy. Along with his wife, Barbara, Paul is survived by two sons, Scott P. Miller and his wife, Tamara of Spring Grove and Dr. Michael L. Miller and his wife, Teri of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Connie J. Inners and her husband, Daniel of York, Barbara S. Meckley and her husband, Thomas of Spring Grove and Kris E. Keller and her husband, Christopher of York; 13 grandchildren; a nephew; and nieces. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles E. Miller; and three sisters, Mildred Danner, Louise Baker and Marianna Stambaugh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
