Windsor—Paul N. O’Kelley, Sr, 81, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. He was the best friend and beloved husband of Katherine M. (Davis) O’Kelley to whom he was married for 42 years. He was born December 23, 1933 in Commerce, Georgia, the 3rd child of the late Charlie Franklin and Sallie (Suggs) O’Kelley. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1952 was employed as a welder/iron worker with Bethlehem Steel-Sparrows Point Plant. He worked there 43 years until his retirement in January 1996. After his retirement, he moved to Delta, PA and in 2010 he moved to Windsor, Pa. He was a very social person and never met a stranger. Every year he planted a large vegetable garden and shared it’s bounty with others. Paul was an active member of Windsor Assembly of God Church where he served as head Deacon, head trustee and head usher as well as being involved in other various activities. He had a deep love for his Saviour, the Lord, Jesus Christ. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and being with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Katherine, he is survived by four children, Teresa Biebl and her husband, Tim of Halethrope, MD, Cynthia Tanner and her husband, Tony of Norrisville, MD, Tanya Ross and her husband, Kevin of Whiteford, MD and Paul N. O’Kelley, Jr of Dundalk, MD; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; one sister, Mary Saxon and her husband, Dan of Ila, GA; three brothers, Henry and Emory O’Kelley and his wife, Gail both of Commerce, GA and Vernon O’Kelley and his wife, Linda of Winder, GA. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Inez Watkins and Ruby O’Kelley and one brother, Elmer O’Kelley. Viewings will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 10-11 AM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7922 Wise Ave, Dundalk, MD 21222. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, Friday at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home with his pastor, the Rev. Jim Levkulich of Windsor Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Department of Windsor Assembly of God Church, 21 N. Penn Street, Windsor, PA 17366.
