Paul M. Schaale, Sr.

DOVER-Paul M. Schaale, Sr., 80 of Dover Twp. passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services- North in York. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Snyder) Schaale. The couple would of been celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary on December 31st. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on December 27 that Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM. Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service. Burial of his ashes will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Mr. Schaale was born in York on April 25, 1938, the son of the late George and Mary (Graybill) Schaale. He retired from the US Army with the rank Sergeant First Class as a nuclear power technician. Mr. Schaale was a member of America Legion Post and Auxiliary 799, York, PA and the Wounded Warrior Project. He served during the Vietnam Era and retired from the US Army. Mr. Schaale leaves two daughters Dawn Lohss and her fiancé Bradley Berger of Dover; Joann and husband Scott Spahr of York; two sons Paul Schaale, Jr. of York; Steven Schaale of Weeki Wachee, FL. Eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter along with his four legged companion Peanut. A brother Thomas and his wife Beverly of Felton; numerous nieces and nephews.
