Paul L. Lauer, Sr.

YORK- Paul L. Lauer, Sr., 86, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Jacqueline E. (Flinchbaugh) Lauer. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2013. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Ruthann Seibert will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Mr. Lauer was born in York on February 13, 1928, a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Slenker) Lauer. He retired after 39 Years of service from Hall’s Motors in York. He attended Dover United Church of Christ. He was a member of Teamsters Local 430 in York. He was an avid collector of model cars and trucks and enjoyed fishing, camping, and bingo. Mr. Lauer leaves a son, Paul L. Lauer, Jr. and his wife Kathryn of York; four grandchildren, Danae Forry and her husband Matthew, Dan Lauer and his wife Jennifer, Dave Lauer and his wife Rebecca, and Bryan Olewiler; 9 great grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah, Noah, Micah, Evan, Austin, Aaron, Abigail, and Braden; and her brother, Carl Lauer of York. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Olewiler and two brothers, Norman and Arthur Lauer.
