Paul Edward White

DOVER- Paul Edward White, 88, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Dawn E. (Wagner) White. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2014. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, with attendees to gather at the Pennsylvania Ave. entrance at 10:45 a.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with arrangements. Full military honors will be provided by York County Veteran’s Honor Guard at the start of the service. Paul was born in Manchester on September 12, 1925, the son of the late W. John and Nora M. (Richcreek) White. He attended Beshore School in Manchester and Retired from the former Alloy Rods, now ESAB after 34 years. He served in the US Navy. During their retirement years Paul and Dawn travelled and camped throughout 48 of the 50 states and spent their winters in Florida. Paul was a member of Stewartstown American Legion, West York VFW, Hawks Gunning Club, and West Manchester Mall Walkers Club. In addition to his wife, Paul leaves two daughters, Karen Daniels and her husband, Howard of Mount Wolf and Patti Ness and her husband, Jeff of Dover; a son, Michael White of McSherrystown, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a sister Dorothy Bell of Dover. A granddaughter, Christina Sue Butcher had preceded him in death. Family asks memorial contributions can be made to Ascera Care Hospice or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
