Paul E. Pease

Stewartstown--Paul Pease was born in Cortland NY October 21, 1929 and died on August 11, 2018 at age 88. His ashes will be interred at the Cortland Rural Cemetery Pease plot beside his beloved wife Joan (Dickinson) who passed on August 23, 2004. Joan and Paul were married for 52 years. Paul grew up in Cortland and was involved in the YMCA’s Leaders Club and Beta Hi-Y. Paul was an adventurous youth, earning his pilot’s license before his driver’s license. He was an avid outdoorsman- camping, fishing and hunting as much as possible. Paul graduated from Cortland High School in 1948, and then from the SUNY Maritime College in 1953 where he earned a BS with a third mate’s license. After college, he earned a commission in the Navy as a Gunnery Officer, before starting his career with GE in 1955. He progressed through several corporate positions, ending his career as a consultant at Coopers and Lybrand. Paul enjoyed summer vacations at Lebanon Reservoir, traveling, and facilitating a biannual family reunion at Deep Creek Lake. Paul was especially proud of his last waterskiing run at age 70 at one of these events. Paul is survived by his children, James, Richard and Steven and his grandchildren Michelle, Brittany, Eric, Sarah and Elizabeth. Services for Paul will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1-3 PM at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York PA 17408.
