WELLSVILLE- Paul A. Brodbeck, Jr., 82, of Warrington Township, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Colonial Manor in York. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Bankert) Brodbeck. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on September 21, 2011. Burial will be private in Resthaven Cemetery in Hanover. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Brodbeck was born in Dover on February 21, 1929, a son of the late Paul A. and Ethel G. (Byers) Brodbeck. He worked for John W. Eshelmans and Sons in York and then worked for the York Post Office and retired from the Harrisburg Post Office in 1981. Mr. Brodbeck was a life member of Reliance Fire Company in West York and a member of Wellsville Fire Company. He was a Cub Master for Cub Pack 141 in West York. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Brodbeck leaves a daughter, Paula J. Miller and her husband, Raymond of Glen Rock; two sons, Steven L. Brodbeck and Ronald E. Brodbeck, both of York; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
