Patsy L. (Walker) Arendt

YORK- Patsy L. (Walker) Arendt, 82, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of the late Grayson M. “Whitey” Arendt to whom she was married 64 years before his passing in 2013. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with The Reverend Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born August 10, 1933 in York, Patsy was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Pauline M. (Frey) Walker. Patsy enjoyed playing bingo, putting puzzles together, crocheting, country music, fairs and carnivals. She loved spending time with her family and having lots of people to cook for. Patsy was a generous lady who took pleasure in sharing what she had with others. Mrs. Arendt is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Bahn and her companion Philip Erb of York, and Judy K. Bentz and her husband Cletis of Deleware; four grandchildren, Tracy Elphick and her husband Brian, Teresa Barshinger and her husband John, Trina Urey and her husband Scott, and Troy Bahn and wife Rachel; ten great-grandchildren, Amanda Patrick, Rachel Elphick, Jennifer and Laura Barshinger, Scottie, Clayton, Byron, and Ashton Urey, Tori Jones, and Savannah Bahn; five brothers; four sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Patsy was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. "On angels’ wings you were taken, but in our hearts you’ll stay; And in God’s light you will rest, until we meet again someday."
