Patrick S. Carr

DALLASTOWN – Patrick S. Carr, 73, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home. Mr. Carr was born on May 9, 1945 in Grottoes, Rockingham County, VA; a son of the late Oliver Carr and Bertha (Randall) Harris and stepson to Marvin Harris. He retired from the former Borg Warner Corp. Patrick was a member of the former Ada’s Social Club and loved to have a good time. He was an amateur comedian who loved telling jokes and could often be found singing his favorite tunes. Pat enjoyed going to auctions, hanging out at Round The Clock Diner and attending bluegrass festivals. By far his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Carr is survived by three daughters, Sherry L. and husband William Corcoran of York, Betty Jo and husband Brian Shaull of Red Lion and Daney M. and husband Herman Carrasquillo of Hellam; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Karisa, Britiny, Michael, Dakota, Deion, William and Shane; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Harris of Mifflinburg and Mildred Kopp of Florida. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Hunter and Cheyenne Shaull; the love of his life, Eleanor (Comer) Carr; a brother, Robert Carr; and a sister, Dilly O’Donnell. Services will be private. Burial will be in Port Republic Cemetery, Kemper Lane, Port Republic, VA.
