Patricia Mae Moyer

RED LION--Patricia Mae (Barley) Moyer (89) peacefully passed away listening to Christmas music, with baby “Aloysius” in her arms, on 12/29/22. Patricia “Patsy” was born on August 13, 1933, in Red Lion. She was the daughter of the late Nevin and Pauline Barley.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Ernest “Ernie” Moyer. Both Patsy and Ernie loved to play bingo and spend time with their sons, daughter in-laws, and grandchildren.

They were members of St Paul’s UMC of Red Lion. Patsy retired, after many years of service, as a Red Lion M&T Bank Teller.

In 2011, a year after Ernie passed, Patsy was diagnosed with dementia. She remained in her home, being cared for by her loving family, until she was moved to Manor Care South, where her granddaughter Kelli works.

Patsy is survived by her sons, Steven Moyer, Red Lion; and Kim Moyer and wife, Cynthia, York; granddaughters, Katie Moyer and Kurt Zelek, and Kelli (Moyer) Kopp and husband, Scott; grandson, Kole Moyer and fiancé, Stacey Lute; two great grandchildren, Austin and Mason Kopp. She was preceded in death by son, Mark “Pap” Moyer. She is also survived by her two brothers, Terry Barley and wife, Julie; and Kevin Barley and wife, Patty; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and their extended families.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Barley and his wife, Susie.

At Patricia’s request there will be no viewing. A Graveside Service will be held at 11am, Thursday January 5, 2023, at Salem Community Cemetery, 460 Salem Church Rd, Windsor, officiated by Pastor Chris Nauta. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alliance Fire & Rescue Services, Inc, 201 W Broadway, Red Lion, PA 17356, where her son Mark served for 27 years; St Paul’s UMC, 45 First Ave, Red Lion, PA 17356; or The Red Lion Ambulance Association, 312 Horace Mann Ave, Red Lion, PA 17356.
