Patricia M. (Meyer) Daneker

AIRVILLE - Patricia M. (Meyer) Daneker, 78, of East Hopewell Township, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of George W. Daneker, Sr. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on December 17, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at St. James Lutheran Church in Brogue, with a viewing from 9:30-11am. Her pastor, The Reverend Linda Trout will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Daneker was born in Williamsport on April 24, 1934, daughter of the late George Robert and Martha (Alexander) Meyer. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the former Fallston General Hospital in Fallston, MD. She and her husband owned and operated Seven Springs Farm in Airville. Mrs. Daneker was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Brogue, God Followers Senior Group, and St. James Clothes Closet. She attended The US Army War College as a spouse from 1982-1983. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events; was an avid bird watcher; and enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking. Mrs. Daneker leaves a son, George W. Daneker, Jr., MD and his wife Bonnie of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Suzanne Daneker Cameron and her husband Glenn of Middletown, and Christine D. McLaughlin and her husband, J. Michael of Canonsburg; and seven grandchildren, Spencer, Matthew, Elliot, Melissa, Sarah, Michael, and Katie.
