Patricia M. (Fitzpatrick) Caulfield

On April 17, 2017, Patricia M. Caulfield was welcomed into the Lord's loving embrace. She was surrounded by her devoted family throughout her illness. Born on July 30, 1929, Patricia was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents, Nora and William Fitzpatrick, emigrated from Ireland and settled in Brooklyn to raise their family. Born a Twin into a family of 12 children during the Great Depression. Patricia worked for the phone company as an administrative assistant in Brooklyn. She married the love of her life, John Joseph Caulfield, on April 24, 1954 and would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on that date this year. Patricia (Pat/Patsy) was proud of her heritage and traveled to Ireland with her husband John “Red” Caulfield to visit and honor the place of her parents’ birth. In 1969 Patricia and John relocated to York, Pennsylvania with their five children. She worked at Two Guys as a Sales Associate while raising her family and later went on to become a Loan Officer at York Federal from which she retired. Her favorite holiday was Christmas when all of her family would travel home to celebrate together. Many memories, lots of laughter and good times ensued during those days. She was at her happiest with her family around her. Patricia loved traveling with her husband Red - visiting family and going to casinos to play the slots. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, golfing, visiting tearooms with her friends and most of all playing poker with her family, especially when she was winning! She, along with her husband, was an active member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Her faith was unwavering throughout her life. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband; John “Red” Joseph Caulfield with whom she shared 62 years of devoted married life. She leaves her five children to carry on her legacy and love of family. They include Kevin Caulfield (Patricia L. Caulfield), John Caulfield (Donna Beth Caulfield), Robert Caulfield (Donna Lynn Caulfield), Theresa Kniery (Bernard Kniery) and Patricia Bahr (Justin Bahr). Her grandchildren were the light of her life and will miss her dearly. Kimberly McLoughlin (Christopher McLoughlin), William Caulfield (Marissa Sponton), Joseph Caulfield (Laura Caulfield), Michael Caulfield, Nicholas Kniery, Jacquelyn Kniery, Katie Kniery, Ian Bahr, Patrick Bahr, Megan Bahr, Michael and Aidan Cadden. Patricia has one great grandchild, Ella Caulfield daughter of William Caulfield and Marissa Sponton, and another great grandchild, a baby boy, Christopher John, to enter the world this June the son of Kimberly and Christopher McLoughlin. They each shared a special bond with their grandma. She will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones and her life will be celebrated with each memory she created. Viewings will be held at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market St., York with Father Daniel Richards officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Savior Cemetery.
