Patricia L. (Egger) Altland

YORK – Patricia L. (Egger) Altland, 86, passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Donald D. Altland. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor David Kominsky officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a viewing from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 4, 1935 in York, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Warner) Egger. Growing up, Mrs. Altland was one of nineteen children, and loved having a large family. She always looked forward to the yearly family reunions. After her retirement, she and Donald spent countless weeks down at their beach home between 1990 and 2020. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, collecting Boyds Bears, and watching Days of Our Lives and Law and Order SVU. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Altland leaves behind a son, Jeffrey L. Altland; two daughters, Cindy A. Altland, and Kathy A. Whetzel; two grandchildren, Jessica L. (Whetzel) Belehas, and Phillip M. Whetzel; one great granddaughter, Phinley E. Whetzel; two sisters, Nancy Matson, and Joan Reigart; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Altland is preceded in death by a son, Donald D. Altland, Jr.; five brothers, and 11 Sisters.
