Patricia Ann Saylor

RED LION- Patricia A. "Pat" (Whalen) Saylor, 61 died at York Hospital Sunday, May 18, 2008 with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Wilbur E. "Tom" Saylor, whom she married on November 16, 1969 at the Maryland Line United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Rev. Michael G. Trimmer of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, Felton, officiating. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cross Roads United Methodist Cemetery. Pat was born on November 13, 1946 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Gene Whalen and Norma Jean Hollingshead. After her mother Norma died, Pat was raised by her late grandmother, Mabel Hollingshead. She was a 1966 graduate of Kennard-Dale High School and a 1967 graduate of Empire Beauty School. Pat was employed as a hair stylist for 41 years and had worked at the former Gerlinda's Hair Salon in York and Paul's of Fifth Ave. in York. She started her own salon, Pat Saylor Styling Salon in Red Lion until she retired in 2004. Pat styled hair for the Lutheran Home. She enjoyed shopping, crafting and the cabin in the mountains. Pat loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by three daughters, Melissa M. Englar and her husband, Steven of York, Tanya Saylor and her fianc窠Raymond L. William of Red Lion, and Lori Saylor of Red Lion; an "adopted" daughter, Sharon Lebo of Glen Rock; nine grandchildren, Shaylah, Emily, Noah, Mariah, Chance, Joey, Gage, Rylee, and Aljori; three special friends, Gloria Saylor, Linda Trout, and Shirley Hanna; and a host of nieces and nephews.
