Patricia Ann (Herman) Houser

DALLASTOWN - Patricia Ann (Herman) Houser, 81, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Dean C. Houser, to whom she was married for 61 years on February 13, 2010. A viewing will be held from 6:30 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Houserville Cemetery in Centre County. Born September 1, 1928 in State College, PA, a daughter of the late Wade and Roxie (Keller) Herman, she was a graduate of State College High School and had attended Penn State University. Mrs. Houser had previously worked for Sears in Lancaster. Her family was her greatest joy in life. Before becoming ill with Parkinson's disease, she loved spending time in her kitchen cooking for her family, and working in her flowerbeds and garden. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Houser is survived by a daughter, Cynthia H. Williams of Red Lion; two granddaughters, Carrie Thompson of York and Jessica Suarez of Leesburg, VA; two great grandchildren, Carter Thompson and Isabella Suarez; and a sister, Joyce Flood of White Marsh, MD. She joins her two sons, Dennis and Donald Houser in Heaven, who preceded her in death.
