Patricia A. (Buckno) Smith

York—Patricia A. (Buckno) Smith, 62, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at her residence in W. Manchester Township. She was the wife of Michael L. Smith. The couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on July 12th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Michael Fischer, Chaplain at Country Meadows of York-West. A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born October 5, 1952 in North Hampton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Winkelbauer) Buckno. She was employed as a Product Specialist Assoc., with Target-East for the past 15 years. An active volunteer and Bocce Coach for the Special Olympics of York County, she also loved animals, reading, enjoyed cooking, making crafts, and flower and vegetable gardening. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is also survived by two children, Sarah E. Bouch and her husband, Christopher of Red Lion and Jimmy Lee Smith of York; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Mikayla, Elijah and Julian; one brother, John Buckno; one sister, Mary Richards and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of York County, P.O. Box 333, Dover, Pa 17315.
