Patience A. Pickel

YORK- Patience Andrea Pickel, our devoted and warm-hearted mother and grandmother peacefully passed away at her daughter’s home on November 17, 2023. Born Patience Andrea Smith on December 18, 1939, in Easton Pennsylvania. Pat resided in York County since 1995.

Pat is survived by her children Diane Plappert and Karen Sides, along with six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the loving wife of the late David Pickel for 49 years. She was an inspiration to us all and her infectious personality will be remembered by many.

A private celebration of life ceremony will take place at the beach.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army in her honor.

Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
