P. Eugene Gene" Grove

NEW PARK - P. Eugene "Gene" Grove, 72, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Brown) Grove to whom he was married for 47 years on April 15, 2010. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 7632 Church Rd., Felton, PA 17322 with his pastor, The Rev. Dr. Chester V. Joines officiating. Viewings will be held from 7-9:00 PM Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 9-10:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Round Hill Presbyterian Cemetery with Full Military Rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born March 30, 1938 in Stewartstown a son of the late Paul E. and Iona E. (McFatridge) Grove, he retired from York International in 2001 after 30 years of service. Mr. Grove enjoyed spending time tending his crop farm in New Park. He was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church and was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by a daughter, Lori J. Miller of Cross Roads; a son, Steven E. Grove of New Park; a granddaughter, Amber Orwig; three great grandchildren, Kolby Hash, and Cameron and Faith McBride; a brother, Robert Grove of Shrewsbury; an aunt, Carrie Grove of Dover; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marion L. Leland. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 3544 N.
