RED LION - Ozella G. (Grove) Jones, 96, died at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services - Dallastown. She was the wife of the late George J. Jones who died in 1988. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev. James C. House, officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones was born January 5, 1911, in Windsor Twp. She was the daughter of the late Adam F. and Estella (Flinchbaugh) Grove. She was a cigar maker for more than 50 years working at various Red Lion area cigar companies and retired in approximately 1980 after many years with the former H. L. Neff. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and Sunday School and sang in the church choir for many years. She had also been a part of the "Crabcake" gang at church and will always be remembered for her hard work. Mrs. Jones leaves her son, William L. Jones and wife, Ruth of Red Lion; a grandson, Rick W. Jones and wife, Fran of Dallastown; a granddaughter, Candy Heckel and husband, Jeff of Latrobe; five great grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Alicia and Brent Heckel of Latrobe and Nicholas Jones of Dallastown; two sisters, Esther Orrs of Sinking Springs and Pauline Grove of Red Lion; two sisters-in law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Freddy, two sisters and six brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1155 Felton Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
