Opal M. Rinehart

WEST YORK Opal M. (Watson) Rinehart, 88, died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond A. Rinehart with whom she celebrated a 70th wedding anniversary on October 24th. Private funeral services for the immediate family will be held at a later date with her pastor, the Rev. Sandra Mackie officiating. Burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rinehart was born November 23, 1918, in Anderson, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Earl Watson and the late Glenna (Dickey) Watson Pearson. She retired from York Corrugating Co. in 1981 after 21 years with the company. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and was a former member of the church's Senior Group. She was also a member of the Western York County Democratic Club. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rinehart leaves a daughter, Donna Rinehart Spangler of Raleigh, NC; two sons, Larry A. Rinehart and wife, Lois and Robert R. Rinehart and wife, Joan, all of York; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Laurence Watson and two sisters, Mary Nutt and Dolores Birch, all of Anderson, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 25 N. Adams St., York, PA 17404.
