Olive J. Britton

POTTSVILLE - Olive J. Britton, 83, a long time resident of Mt. Hope Ave., Pottsville, died Monday morning at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Pottsville, on November 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Anna Super Britton. She attended Pottsville High School. She was formerly employed by Phillips Van Heusen and Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Pottsville. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Tall Cedars Auxiliary, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Travelers Protection Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Robert W. Britton. She is survived by: cousins. Funeral services will be held at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville, on Saturday at 11:00 AM The Rev. Michael Kaminski will officiate. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of service. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.
