Oakland H. "Duke" Pemberton

Oakland H. “Duke” Pemberton, Jr., 83, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services-South. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born December 3, 1934 in Richmond, Virginia, he was a son of the late Oakland H. Pemberton, Sr., and the late Melissie C. (Collins) Pemberton. A self-employed small business owner of a custom wall treatment company, working in the Washington DC area, he also worked for several years as a private eye. Duke served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a Golden Gloves Boxer Mr. Pemberton is survived by one son, S. Troy Pemberton and his wife, Bobbi of Dallastown; three grandchildren, Ava, Isabella and Josie Pemberton; one brother, William D. Pemberton and former wife, Rita Pemberton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Pemberton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Assoc., of PA, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, Pa 17011.
