Norman L. Ballard

TROY- Norman L. Ballard, 59, of Troy, PA, went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his family. Norman was born on January 20, 1954 in Sayre, PA, son of Kenneth R. Ballard of Troy, and the late Dorothy (Kinch) Ballard who passed away on February 12, 2005. Norman was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1971. After high school, Norman went to work for DuPont in Towanda where he was Maintenance Coordinator. Norman was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church and was one of its caretakers. He was an excellent mechanic, enjoyed repairing and restoring clocks, and when he wasn’t working at DuPont he was working around the family farm. His father Ken, his brother Wesley E. Ballard of Troy, his nephews Jacob and Jeremiah Ballard, and his niece Joanna Ballard survive Norman. His mother Dorothy preceded him in death. Family and friends may call from 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday September 28, 2013 at the West Burlington United Methodist Church, Rt. 6 in West Burlington, PA. The memorial service to honor Norman’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28th at the church with his pastor and friend, Rev. Chris Nauta officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of his family in Bradford County Memorial Park. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA has been entrusted with arrangements.
