YORK - Norman L. "Bud" Albright, 93, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE. He was the husband of Gladys H. (Lease) Albright who died December 24, 1992. The couple had been married for 53 years at the time of Mrs. Albright's passing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A service celebrating Mr. Albright's life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Ferne H. Wolfe, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mr. Albright was born February 22, 1915, in Allentown. He was the son of the late William Burton and Agnes (Roth) Albright. He retired as the foreman of the Supply Department of the former York Machinery & Supply Company after more than 50 years of service. He had also been a member of Longstown United Methodist Church for more than 60 years. Mr. Albright is survived by his daughter, Joyce A. Geesey and husband, Jack of Westerville, OH; two sons, Rodney L. Albright and wife, Reggie of Huntington Beach, CA and Lester E. Albright and wife, Kathy of Wilmington, DE; three grandchildren, Thomas Albright and wife, Kim of Weston, FL, Michael Geesey of Columbus, OH, and Kim Donahue and husband, Gregg of Wilmington; four great grandchildren, Chase and Skylar Albright and Nathan and Nolan Albright; nephews and a niece. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Rudy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Longstown United Methodist Church, 2975 Carol Rd., York, PA 17402.
