York—Norma M. (Kinard) Flinchbaugh, 89, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at the York Lutheran Home—Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Harold W. Flinchbaugh. A Celebration of Life Service will be 8 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Red Lion Cemetery. Born March 10, 1925 in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Ivan G.F. and Iva Mae (Grove) Kinard. She was a 1942 graduate of Red Lion High School. She co-owned IGF Kinard, Inc., a plumbing, heating, hardware and sporting goods supply business with her brothers for several years until her retirement in 1985. She loved needle work, braiding rugs, floral arranging, crafts and formerly attended Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Flinchbaugh is survived by one son, Alan H. Flinchbaugh of Hanover; one daughter, Susan M. McDowell and her husband, David of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Sarah L. Barshinger and her husband, Tim of Dallastown and Brent A. Flinchbaugh and his wife, Shoshana of Baltimore; two great grandchildren, Will and Brady Barshinger; one brother, Ned Kinard and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Kinard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive, 1801 Folkemer Circle, York, PA 17404.
