Norma J. (Eyster) Anthony

YORK - Norma J. (Eyster) Anthony, 78, of Hellam Twp., died at 5:10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Anthony with whom she celebrated a 56th wedding anniversary on July 15th. A service to celebrate Norma’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Anthony was born March 31, 1933, in York. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Pauline (Myer) Eyster. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and shopping as well as an occasional horse race. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Barry Sidesinger and wife, Betsy of Dover, Robert “Bobby” Anthony and wife, Cindy of York, Randy Anthony and wife, Tina of York; her two daughters, Bonnie Hunt and husband, Gene of York, Deborah Price and husband, Jim of Manchester; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her three sisters, Betty Meisenhelter of Philadelphia, Catherine “Cass” Doll of York and Donna Miller of York. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Lester and Edward Eyster.
