Norma I. (Moon) Kress

BATH, NY- Norma I. (Moon) Kress, 84, of Bath, NY, formerly of Columbia Crossroads, PA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home in Bath, NY, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Paul B. Kress who passed away on June 4, 2006. The couple had 63 wonderful years together. Family and friends are welcome to call at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 6:00-7:00 PM. The funeral service to honor Norma's life will be held on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. Cremation will follow the service. Interment of the ashes will be in Columbia Valley Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Norma was born on February 21, 1924 in Bradford County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Watson) Moon, Sr. Norma was a homemaker, but more importantly was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She attended Risingville United Methodist Church with her children faithfully. Norma was a wonderful seamstress and made curtains for the church. After Norma and Paul moved to Pennsylvania they raised German Shepards and other breeds of dogs for years. Norma loved her family more than anything. They include her children Karen (Larry) Dickson of Bath, NY, Peggy Westfal of Syracuse, NY, Terry (Shirley) Kress of Gaines, PA, and Kathy (Dale) Roloson of Troy, PA, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, her daughter Tana E. Kress, her son Paul "Ernie" Kress, her brother Charles "Bud" Moon, Jr., and her sisters; Winona Stewart, Phyllis Coalbaugh, and Merna Morgan.
