YORK- Norma E. (Jacobs) Cutshall, 85, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late John H. Cutshall. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market Street, York with the Reverend Kevin T. Shively officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born January 8, 1928 in York, she was a daughter of the late William O. and Verna C. (Crist) Jacobs. Norma was employed at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as a tax examiner for over 17 years until her retirement. Prior to her employment with the state, Norma was employed as a LPN. Norma was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. She was the Democratic Committee person for Dover Township, a member of the York County Democratic Committee, the Dover Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and was a founding member of the Tri-Town Boys Club. Mrs. Cutshall is survived by two children, son Craig Cutshall of Dover, and daughter Georgia A. Sprenkel of Dover Twp. and longtime friend, Francis Eyler, Sr.; granddaughter, Stephanie Badin, and husband, Gregory of Mt. Wolf; a great grandson, Conner Badin of Mt. Wolf; and two close friends, Jean Dietz and Kathy Cunningham. She was preceded in death by a son Stephen Cutshall; a brother, Glen E. Jacobs; and a sister, Charlotte M. Gallatin.
