Norma E. Beck Smith

YOE- Norma E. “Sis” (Klinedinst) Beck Smith, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of Rodney E. Smith. The couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on October 18, 2016. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Mrs. Smith was born in York on June 20, 1934, the daughter of the late Stuart H. and Viola R. (Sowers) Klinedinst. She retired from Schaad Detective Agency in York. Prior to that she worked for Ski Roundtop and Gross’s Manorette in Lewisberry. Mrs. Smith was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Yoe. She was a member of Yoe Fire Department and an avid member of Yoe Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing a variety of crafts. Mrs. Smith leaves a son, George Beck and his wife Judy of Boiling Springs, three daughters, Debra Druck and her husband Earl of Maryland, Sue Haines and her companion Chic Kimmel of Lewisberry, and Darlene McNaughton and her husband Robert of Enola; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Wintermyer of Dover, and a daughter-in-law, Joehanna McNerney of Lewisberry. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Beck, Sr. and two sons, Glenn Beck, Jr. and Robert Beck all of the Lewisberry area.
