Nora Rockwell

TROY - Nora S. (Rolison) Rockwell, Age 85, formerly of Granville Summit, PA passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Bradford County Manor where she had been a resident since 2008. Nora was born January 19, 1926 in Troy, PA daughter of the late Earle & Nellie (Spencer) Rolison. She was a graduate of Troy High School and married the late G. Eugene Rockwell on June 2, 1943. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Troy, former member of the Windfall Senior Citizens, Windfall Grange #257 where she held the office of Secretary for 25 years, Canton Order of Eastern Star and Rebecca’s Lodge. Nora enjoyed gardening in her three gardens, canning her homegrown vegetables, playing piano for the service groups she was a member of. In her spare time she like to knit, crochet and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. & Mary Rockwell of West Burlington, PA, Kenneth E. Rockwell of Granville Summit, PA, a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine L. & Jack Klock of Carlisle, PA, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles & Arlene Rolison of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, sisters and brother-in-law, Marjorie & Wilbur Morse of Canton, PA, Beverly Wilson of Elmira, NY, eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. Nora was predeceased by her two infant sons Raymond and Robert in 1947, as well as her husband G. Eugene Rockwell on September 8, 2000, a brother Harold Rolison, a sister and brother-in-law, Jean & Leroy Goodwin. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 12 Noon Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Order of Eastern Star Service will be held at 12 Noon immediately followed by her funeral service with Reverend Chris Nauta officiating. Interment will follow in Hilton Cemetery, West Burlington, PA.
