TROY- Nicklas Charles Bernat, 20, of Troy, PA passed away accidentally on Friday, November 30, 2012. Nick was born on February 18, 1992 in Natrona Heights, PA, son of Diana (Brock) Kisner of Troy PA, and Dennis P. Bernat of Ford City, PA. Nick worked as a Grinder and Catcher at Oak Hill Veneer in Troy, PA. He enjoyed playing his guitar and his X-Box 360, spending time with his family and friends, and had recently taken up hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and just obtained his drivers license. Nick is survived by his mother and step father Diana and Donald Kisner of Troy, PA, his father Dennis P. Bernat of Ford City, PA, his brother Joseph R. Bernat of Sanford, ME, his step bother James Kisner and his step sister Valerie Kisner, both of Granville, PA, material grandfather Paul Brock, Sr. and paternal grandmother Donna Bernat, and step grandparents Durdette and Clemence Clark, his aunts and uncles: Deneen (Gary) Green, Jesse J. (Cyn) Brock, John Day Brock, Paul A. (Kathy) Brock, Jr., Debra L. (John) Colder, and Sandra L. Fouse, his step uncle Les (Brenda) Kisner, and his step aunt Tina Kisner, along with several cousins. Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Evelyn E. Brock and his paternal grandfather Donald P. Bernat. Family and friends may gather from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Troy 205 Redington Ave. Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Nick’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday December 7th at the First United Methodist Church of Troy with Rev. Andrew Phillips of the Berrytown Wesleyan Church officiating. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to the charity of one’s own choosing.
