Felton — Nicholas Alexander Mankin, 16, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be the Pastor Terry Felton of Mason Dixon Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 9-11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Born August 14, 1998 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Carol R. (Tomlinson) and Bryan L. Tracey of Felton. Nick was a student at Red Lion High School and as of June 10, 2015 he was issued an invitation for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars. He was a returning second year starting offensive lineman for the Red Lion Varsity football team, member of the Competition Cheerleading Squad and a varsity club member. Nicholas began playing football as a “Susky Warrior” in the Southern York County School District football program. He loved to draw, sketch and make pottery, he also enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and listening to country music. Most of all, he just loved being Nick, hanging out with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Nick is also survived by two brothers, Sean Mankin and Adam Tracey both of Felton; four sisters, Colleen Mankin of Virginia, Lauren and Clare Mankin, both of Felton and Audrey Tracey of Felton; maternal grandparents, Richard and Regina Tomlinson of York; paternal grandparents, Barry and Edna Mae Tracey of Rock Hall, MD; grandmother, Mary Jane Weigandt of Stewartstown; Aunt Lynn and Uncle Mark Ehrsam; cousin, Joshua Ziolkowski and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Weigandt. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a Scholarship Fund in Memory of Nicholas A. Mankin, payable to Red Lion Area Educational Foundation or RLAEF, 696 Delta Road, Red Lion, PA 17356. “Always A Lion” Cemetery: Private Burial
