Nelson P. Wagner

RED LION – Nelson P. Wagner, 78, died on Wednesday August 11, 2021 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Janice L. (Ring) Wagner, to whom he was married to for over 55 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday August 20, 2021 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M prior to the service. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born April 11, 1943, in New Freedom, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Mabel O. (Orndorff) Wagner. After graduating high school, Mr. Wagner worked as a truck driver until he retired. Mr. Wagner was known for his love of old cars, farming, and for spending Fridays at the Red Lion Senior Center, listening to country music. Mr. Wagner is survived by his two sons, Raymond S. Wagner of Red Lion, and Philip D. Wagner of Manchester; one daughter, Alicia M. Hedrick and her companion Larre Riffe of Cape Cod; four grandchildren, Paige Shenberger, Ashley Tolbert and her husband Ian, Jared Tyson, and Philip Wagner, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Ava Tolbert, and Aidyn Tolbert; and his companion, Joan Wells. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wagner is preceded in death by his two brothers, Lloyd Wagner, and Elmer Wagner.
