Nelly Elsie (Torres) Malave Jimenez

YORK- Nelly Elsie (Torres) Malave Jimenez, 64, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of Thomas Malave Jimenez, to whom she was married to for over 46 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth RD., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Malave Jimenez was born on July 2, 1947 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Maria (Carattini) Torres and the late Sixto Torres. Nelly was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests. Along with her husband, Thomas, Nelly is survived by two sons, Mervin Jimenez and his wife, Evelyn and Henry Jimenez and his wife Nelcy, all of Vineland, N.J.; two daughters, Brenda Skocki and her husband, Todd and Betsy Santiago and her husband David, all of York; 11 grandchildren, Brittany, Thaddeus, Mervin, Cristian, Jose, Zarylin, Anthony, Noah, Elly, David and Josiah; six brothers, Hector, Antonio, Armando, Sixto, Raul and Herriberto; and five sisters, Nilda, Rosa, Neida, Norma and Carol.
