DOVER-Nellie Grace (Bennett) Mott, 91 formerly of Red Lion, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Providence Place in Dover. She was the wife of the late Walter P. Mott and the late Frank N. Burke. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Nellie’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com. Her pastor, The Reverend Paul N. Frank will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Mott was born on Miller’s Mountain in Greenbriar County, WV on June 21, 1930, the daughter of Olen Kay and Ida Grace (Bryant) Bennett. She retired after 13 years of service at AMP. Mrs. Mott was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Freysville. She was the President of her 1947 graduating class at Jarrettsville School in Maryland. Mrs. Mott leaves three sons, David K. Burke and his wife Debra of Red Lion, Todd A. Burke and his partner, Dennis Wolframski of California, and Tim A. Burke and his wife Terri of Tennessee; a step daughter, Andrea L. Aldstadt and her husband Tom of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Burke; Shelley Burke; Brian Becker; Amanda Schirtz; Scott Einsig; Jon Einsig; and David Einsig; 12 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren; a brother Arthur Bennett and his wife Charlotte of Stewartstown; nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Betty Bennett. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy S. Einsig, and a brother, John Wayne Bennett. Nellie's daughter Cindy and daughter-in-law Deb helped care for her as her Alzheimer's disease progressed through the years. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Deanne Taylor King and her team, as well as the exceptional care Nellie received by the staff at Providence Place, Dover, and Lifesong Hospice, during the final chapter of her life.
