Nelda J. (Keller) Kline

York—Nelda J. (Keller) Kline, 88, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her residence in W. Manchester Township. She was the wife of the late Sidney P. Kline. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Friday September 11, 2015 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Rd, York with the Rev. Reda E. Willis officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, Friday at the church. Burial will be held in Riverview Cemetery; East Prospect. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 6, 1927 in East Prospect, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Maggie (Smeltzer) Keller. She was employed in the administrative department at both the Navel Ordinance Plant and later at American Chain and Cable until her retirement in 1985. For 2 years she worked as the W. York Borough Tax Collector. A long time member of Zion United Methodist Church, she was also a member of Met Ed Retirees Club, ACCO Women’s Welfare Club and a 1945 graduate of William Penn High School. Mrs. Kline is survived by one son, Rodney P. Kline and his wife, Carolyn of York; three grandchildren, Randy Kline and his wife, Jen, Michelle Barnes and her husband, Mike and Haley Kline; three great grandchildren, Dakota Kline, Dieon Prince and Akira Barnes. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Grim. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Rd, York, PA 17404.
